I founded IC Boost in 2008, to be able to use my experiences in IP & Entrepreneurship, and to particularly support startups and university eco systems in Thailand, aiming at a more diversified entrepreneurial Thailand.
IC stands for Intellectual Capital, and we support our customers to create impact through capitalizing their intangible assets, using IP as a tool. To do this, IAs & IPs, need to be put into the context of e.g. value propositions and business models. This framework gives us a unique position.
VALUE PROPOSITION
IC Boost offers consulting services and training, with a focus on entrepreneurship facilitation and intellectual property. We have worked extensively with value propositions, innovation and business model development for more than 15 years, and with a strong focus in university Innovation & IP Policy the last years..
BUSINESS MODEL
IC Boost works long term with clients in a relationship that is more like a partnership, and if we believe in the concept we can even invest and take ownership, instead of charging a traditional consultancy fee. This creates a business angel like relationship between IC Boost and the partner, e.g. Capaciton Ltd.
INNOVATION
IC Boost has over the years come to focus on research-based innovation. We still have clients within more traditional clean energy tech, with ownership in two companies, Capaciton and Lager - active within motive power; batteries, chargers, and monitoring - and we are cuttently venturing into food & agri tech
ABOUT US
IC Boost Ltd was founded 2008, in Thailand, by the Swedish lawyer Lars Andersson, based on his experiences, working with entrepreneurship education, university spin-offs and business acceleration scince 1999, and his educational background as a lawyer specialized in intellectual property and business development. We are a small agile actor with a strong international network. Any competences needed for a project that we don't have in-house can easily be sourced.
With all our clients we work very goal oriented and we try to be as close to the operations as possible. This means that we actually share offices with two of our main clients in Thailand, Capaciton Ltd and Lager Ltd. Since 2020, we also have an office in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), in Northeastern Thailand, to get closer to our development projects connected to Isaan, many done under our CSR agenda.
IC Boost also has a very close relation with entrepreneurship education and facilitation and Lars is Head of Innovation & IP Management, and a lecturer and researcher, at Suranaree University of Technology, in Korat, Thailand. The Scandinavian heritage is still strong, with Capaciton representing several Swedish brands, and Lars is a long standing board member (and served as a Vice President for many years) of the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and he is still a visiting lecturer at Chalmers University of Technology.
Scince a few years back we are also working with developing especially menus for Thai restaurants, with a focus on Isaan food, to help bring this amazing food to the world in a professional and sustainable way. This includes e.g. brand development, and we work with local Thai suppliers to get them involved in the value creation, but also sustainable sourcing of ingredients. Our restaurant clients today, are in Thailand, Scandinavia and hopefully soon, South Africa.
